Congratulations Melissa De La Garza!

The CLI Micro-Credential Program is a self-paced professional development opportunity where
specialists can improve, enhance, and demonstrate their current skills while earning professional
certification. The program provides opportunities for participants to submit evidence of key
behaviors that are typically demonstrated in routine practice. The CLI Micro-Credential Program
is available for various early childhood professionals (e.g., coaches, trainers) who want to receive
recognition for showcasing their knowledge and skills.

What did getting the full Micro Credential mean to you? Having completed The CLI Micro-Credential Program gave me a sense of acknowledgment. I feel more confident knowing that I have mastered the skills and behaviors needed to be an effective Coach to Early Childhood Professionals through the Micro Credentialing, I learned many Coaching behaviors which have become a natural part of my Coaching routine.

What does getting the full Micro Credential mean for your community? For the teachers you are coaching. Hidalgo County is a new TSR Community. Getting the full Micro Credential means that the Community can be confident that quality coaching is being conducted. This also means that TSR Teachers are being coached so that they can improve the quality of children’s learning experiences. Teachers will be more intentional in planning effective lessons, executing them, evaluating the children's progress and knowing where to go from there. All of which will help Teachers feel more effective and reflective in their teaching practices.
